Hey BJJ Path Family!

You've probably been unable to train at your gym for quite a while now, and we can only imagine how much you miss being in your happy space. All I can offer in the way of comfort is to say that we are all in the same boat here, trying to stay sane and safe while trying to adjust to this "new normal" we keep hearing about so much. We can't imagine a better way for you to stay engaged than to study some jiu jitsu tutorials, watch a little competition commentary, and maybe even try out some solo drills. Because of this, we want to support the BJJ community that has come to mean so much to us over the past few decades. And, so, we're making BJJ Path entirely free for the duration of the pandemic, at least while your gym is closed.

All you need to do is create an account (you don't need to enter any credit card information at all, just your name and email address). When we notice a majority of gyms opening up, we'll reach out to you via email to ask if you want to keep using the site. That's it, no strings attached. This will give us a chance to hear from you, and to show you what we've been working on for the past few years. While it continues to evolve, we hope you enjoy some of the improvements we'll be rolling out, and we'll be making new tutorials (videos with a written description in an encyclopedic format), new competition footage with commentary from black belts (and links to other tutorials), and solo drills you can try at home.

We'd recommend you dive right in and start exploring! You can certainly use the search box at the top if you already know what you're looking for, but you might also want to try the fundamental groups, a hierarchical method of organizing jiu jitsu positions, submissions, and escapes. It's not the same as being on the mat with your friends and instructors, but this is also a great time to focus on a more intensive study, and I hope it gives you some peace and satisfaction to explore new areas of your game and refine some existing concepts.

Happy training!
